This is designed for players who want to increase their skill set in a challenging environment through training with top-level players from across the Twin Cities Metro area and preparing players for high school level competition. Tournaments for our middle school are kept to local and regional locations with the potential for an optional national tournament.

When signing up for Lakers, you are signing up for the club lacrosse season that runs August 1 - July 31 with practices being in the summer (early June - end of July).  Those players and families looking for extra training have the option to add on the optional fall and winter programming.

All Lakers are expected to attend the Leadership Workshops throughout the year.

2021 Summer Practices

Our Rising 8th Graders (Grad Year 2026) & Our Rising Freshmen (Grad Year 2025) have over 35+ hours in practice time during our 8 week season. Tuesday night practices will focus on skill development as well as field IQ/system development specific to their graduation years.
Starting the first full week in June practices will be held on the following days, times, and locations:
  • Mondays - This is an optional practice for grad years 2022 - 2026 where players will work on conditioning, individual stick skills, and Lax IQ
  • Tuesdays - Evenings (in the past practice has started at 6:00 pm) for 1.5 hours. The location will be in the North Metro at either Maple Grove High School/Fernbrook Athletic Fields in Maple Grove, Minn. or the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn.
  • Wednesdays - 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Hopkins High School.

Regional and National tournament costs are usually between $300 - $625 per tournament with regional ones being cheaper than national tournaments. This fee does not include a few meals, souvenirs, or airfare, for the tournaments we fly to (Champions Cup, Captial Cup, Presidents Cup). All other expenses for these tournaments are covered (tournament entry fee, hotel, ground transportation, coaching stipends, equipment, etc.). Local tournaments are around $125.
2021 Summer tournament registration will open late fall/early winter; roster spots fill on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All families are asked to commit to 1 summer tournament (Junior Cup); players are welcome to sign up for more than one.
