What to Expect at Evaluations
Our evaluations are not only for Lakers coaches and staff to evaluate prospective players, but also for players and their families to get a feel for our program—the interaction between coaches and players, and the way training sessions are run.
During evaluations, players can expect:
- Speed and movement training with a professional speed coach through our partnership with Training Haus
 - Stick warm-up and stick skills
 - Small-sided games replicating game-like scenarios and high reps
 - Clear feedback and direction from staff throughout the session
 - A professional, structured environment run by Lakers coaches and evaluators

OUR PROGRAM'S TEAMS
2025/26 Season Supplemental Evaluations
Minnesota Lakers evaluations are designed to identify players who are ready to grow within a development-first, competitive environment. Each session is structured to assess technical skill, athletic ability, and coachability while giving players and families an authentic look at how Lakers training is run.
Evaluations include speed and movement testing with our professional partner, Training Haus, position-specific skill work, and small-sided gameplay that replicates real game situations. Sessions are led by Lakers coaching staff in a high-tempo, teaching-focused setting.
Players should arrive 15 minutes early to check-in, receive reversible pinnie for evaluations, and getting ready for evaluations. Players should bring their stick, goggles, mouthguard, turf/cleat shoes, and water bottle.
